ADHD Awareness Month occurs each October to educate about ADHD, combat stigma, and support affected individuals. Activities include information sharing, events, support groups, and advocacy for better resources. Orange represents this awareness month.

Purpose of ADHD Awareness Month

  • Education: To provide accurate ADHD information and dispel misconceptions.

  • Stigma Reduction: To counter misconceptions that ADHD reflects laziness or poor discipline.

  • Support & Empowerment: To provide resources and community for people with ADHD and their families.

  • Advocacy: To promote progressive policies, support systems, and accessible treatments.

How to participate

  • Educate yourself: Learn from reliable sources about ADHD's real-life impacts.

  • Share information: Distribute credible resources to your network.

  • Share lived experiences: Discuss personal ADHD journeys to foster connection.

  • Wear orange: Display the official awareness color.

  • Support organizations: Back groups like CHADD, ADDA, and the CDC that serve the ADHD community. And, you have us to support you at any time!
